As a basketball player growing up, Dr. Kayla had continued problems with
ankle injuries. She consistently experienced injuries that would keep her out of play for one or two weeks at a time. Thankfully, someone recommended that she see a chiropractor. This changed everything. While she began her professional career working in the
corporate world, she eventually realized that she wanted to shed the desk job and
pursue a career that allowed her to be more active, have more interaction with
people, and above all else, make a difference. “After my first adjustment, I never had an injury that kept me from playing again, and I was able to continue my basketball career into college. Like so many people, I thought I knew what career path I wanted to take, but it wasn’t long before I realized I could make a lasting impact on peoples’ lives through chiropractic care.”
Dr. Kayla graduated from Austin College in Sherman, Texas with degrees in
History and Political Science. She then attended Parker University in Dallas, where she received degrees in wellness, anatomy and a Doctorate of Chiropractic. She has continued her education through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and she is Webster certified.
“My philosophy on chiropractic is that everyone with a spine needs to be adjusted.” This is why it is so important to Dr. Kayla that chiropractic care is accessible and affordable. She enjoys seeing athletes and weekend warriors, but has developed a passion for pre-natal and pediatric care as well.
